This monologue is set just after Jesus has cleaned the temple of moneychangers. The monologist is a worshiper who was trying to buy a dove for a sacrifice. The monologist struggles with Jesus' righteous anger versus his or her legalistic worldview that demands a sacrifice before God will listen to prayers. What the monologist does not know is that Jesus is about to make THE sacrifice for all time, a sacrifice in which grace trumps legalism forever. The monologue also includes an optional re-enactment of cleaning the temple.
